Forum Reconciliation
We agree to use this process in resolving conflicts in this community.
Jesus said, “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every word may be confirmed by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector” (Matthew 18:15-17).
If we take issue with another, we will contact them in a private message to discuss it. If we do not have a friend link to send a private message, there are 2 ways to contact them privately.
1) We can request friendship and attach a private message to that request. We may delete the friendship link later with no hard feelings.
2) We can ask a moderator to create a private Reconciliation Group and invite both of us to join it. The moderator should set it with no RSS, private, moderated membership, members may not ask others to join, others may not ask to join and members may not send messages to whole group.
If it is not resolved between the two, we ask a moderator to create and facilitate the private Reconciliation Group (if not already done) and to invite 2-3 neutral witnesses from the same discussion / group in which the issue happened. Once resolved, the moderator deletes the group.
If it is still not resolved, the witnesses and moderator will decide on proper timing to open up the Reconciliation Group to the community for review. The moderator will edit the group settings, allowing people to ask for membership and send out a general administrative announcement inviting the community to join and participate. The moderators will watch closely to approve members in a timely manner and to facilitate the discussion towards consensus. Moderators will enforce the consensus of the community and include new decisions or information into the Forum Covenant.
