Yes, Rick and Nik. Thank you both! I had mentioned randomly before that I have been a participant on a secular grief site for a couple of years now. The basket project started as a conversation between I and a couple of others over how sad we get ...

Thanks so much for allowing my pooches. They are most well behaved, I assure you. Oh, and I know that Miguel guy. The poncho can double as a nice picnic blanket in a pinch. It was handmade by the Ecuadorian Indigenous and was presented as a pastor...

Wow, you certainly have a better excuse than I do for not getting exercise. I wondered who did the cooking for your retreats and visitors. I did the cooking for our retreats this year. It is actually like cooking for my family cause when we all get together there are 10 adults and 12 grandchildren here. Then we always have a few adopted aunts and uncles included equals 3 more. That is the same number I cook for our retreats. I used to tell people that I don't like to cook, but after all this cooking... Well, I guess I just like to serve. But I really need to have the cooking part turned over to someone else because between that and doing the teaching, I am wiped out.

Curious, what do you serve for your retreats. I'm always looking for ideas.

Hi Claudia, Thanks for the note. I was feeling better after 24 hours and thought that I could eat as usual but my tummy said otherwise right up until yesterday. Eating simple for awhile is always good. That is lots of healinging grape juice and that yogurt that resets your flora.

The first of the year our family is having a weigh in and biggest loser contest. Obviously Tim needs to lose the most and does very quickly when he puts his mind to it. But it will be figured according to proportions and percentages. I am looking forward to relosing the 15 lbs that I put on last year. The rest of my family are promoters, that part of the personality matrix where nothing gets done unless it's fun, so they have to make it a game.

Must go now, have grandchildren coming soon.

Blessings,
Katie

Claudia, I look forward to seeing the pictures. I'm sure you and Michael are an encouragement to the people of Ecuador.

I'm glad you're enjoying your Christmas. Maybe you can get some rest after it's over.

I *knew* there was a reason I liked you! LOL Mini owners, unite!! :)

I marvel at the mix ~ I wonder what kind of temperament those little guys are going to have??

do you do your own grooming, since (it would seem) groomers might be far and few between where you are?

Faith, Community, Mission

We may live far apart, but we are a community built in, through, and with the indwelling Christ. Our worship is a sacrifice of time, given to know Him intimately. We each serve, minister, and express our Lord Jesus, who is the only Head. Let us be known simply by our love for each other, in anticipation of when every knee will be bent in His Kingdom. And, let us follow the earthly mission Jesus began and passed to His followers to “preach goods news to the poor, proclaim release to the captives, recover sight to the blind, let the oppressed go free, and proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
We are here to support, confront and clarify each other's place as aliens in the world but not of the world. Est: Nov, 2008.
